ABOUT The California Legislative Coalition for Interior Design (CLCID):
- Represents the Interior Design industry before the California Legislature, Regulatory Agencies, California Building Officials and
the California Council for Interior Design Certification.
- Provides California government with information about Interior Design and the services provided by interior designers;
- Provides access to professional advocacy and organized grassroots activities on behalf of the Interior Design industry;
- Provides information to the Interior Design industry on legislation and administrative orders;
- Promotes a climate in which the general welfare of the Interior Design industry can be preserved and can flourish; and;
- Initiates swift action to oppose legislative and regulatory activities that might limit the scope of the practice of Interior
Design.
- Has a Board of Directors that consists of representatives from 9 California chapters of leading national Interior Design associations;
- Sponsors continuing education courses to provide up-to-date information on industry practices and regulations;
- Directs a political action committee, the California Interior Design Political Action Committee (CIDPAC) to support legislators who
support the issues of the Interior Design industry;
CLCID works with experienced lobbyists to develop and execute strategic legislative activities and grassroots advocacy.
